GoIdentityProtect.com works with partners who offer a complete program for identity theft protection, detection and resolution to help you catch identity theft and fraud when it happens and reclaim your good name and credit if it does.
Get Daily Credit Monitoring and E-mail Alerts.

Checking your credit report once a year isn't enough. That's why this service will monitor your credit file at all three major credit reporting bureaus every single day and send regular 'all clear' e-mail alerts so you can be confident it's working and your identity is safe.

In addition, the service will contact you immediately if it detects important changes to your credit file that could indicate fraud or suspicious activity, including:
  • New accounts opened in your name
  • New applications for credit
  • Address changes
  • Public record changes
  • Potentially negative information on your credit files

Ways to protect yourself.

  • Do not provide your Social Security number unless necessary by law, such as for employment, tax forms or bank records. Many forms may ask for your Social Security number even though it´s not required. This doesn't mean you have to supply it.
  • Don't have your driver's license number printed on your checks.
  • Do not carry your Social Security card or your child's in your wallet.
  • Do not make your PINs or passwords obvious or easy to guess and never carry them in your wallet.
  • Choose online or “paperless” statements from your financial institutions. Fewer documents going through the mail with your personal information on them means fewer opportunities for thieves to steal them.
  • Shred all sensitive information before throwing in the trash. This includes bank statements, credit card receipts, phone and utility bills and pre-approved credit card offers.
  • Monitor changes to your credit report. This one is the most important. No matter how vigilant you are about protecting your personal information, I.D. thieves are resourceful and there can be security breaches that are out of your control.
